Outer Bayou Productions is a Houston-based creative production company focused on cinematic storytelling and visual media.
We collaborate with brands, creators, and organizations to produce photo and video content that connects with audiences. From branded campaigns and social media content to documentaries, podcasts, and narrative short films, our work blends creative vision with thoughtful production.
Our goal is simple: create work that feels authentic, visually compelling, and meaningful.
The Name
Outer Bayou represents the spirit of exploration while staying connected to our roots.
Houston is known both as Space City, home to NASA’s human spaceflight center at Johnson Space Center, and as Bayou City, a nickname shaped by the waterways that run through the region.
The name brings those two ideas together: the curiosity and ambition of exploration, and the grounded culture and history of Houston.
Outer Bayou reflects the way we approach storytelling. Looking outward with imagination while staying rooted in real people, places, and stories.

Yeli is the founder of Outer Bayou and the main eye behind the camera. She leads the look and feel of each project, focusing on visuals that feel intentional, cinematic, and true to the story being told.
Tetsu Huddleston
Co-Founder / Photographer / EMT
Tetsu brings a detail-focused eye to Outer Bayou. With a background in history, research, and emergency care, he’s great at paying attention to details, asking the right questions, and helping stories feel grounded.
Matthew Dean
Photographer / Gaffer
Matt is a logical thinker and natural problem-solver. He understands light, gear, and how things work, which makes him great at shaping the look of a scene and figuring things out on set.
Africa Martinez
Creative Director
Africa has a strong eye for what works visually. She’s great at giving direction, helping people feel comfortable, and knowing what looks good, what doesn’t, and how to get the final result closer to the vision.
